最近、アジアのメジャー作品を観る機会が増えたが、本作は特に気に入った。ハートウォーミングな作品はあまり好まないが、この映画の設定は楽しくて興味深く、穴場的なお店の物語が好きな自分にはぴったりだった。店は深夜0時から朝7時まで営業しており、さまざまな事情を抱えた客たちが訪れる。ささやかな会話や過去の思い出話が、温かいトーンで物語を進めていく。謎めいた壺をめぐるサブプロットもあるが、それほど重要ではなく、登場人物たちが自分のことから少し離れ、周囲の出来事に目を向けるきっかけになっている。
