Samaritan Girl

(2004, Kim Ki-duk)

I think this is the first Kim Ki-duk movie I ever watched; it was long ago and really affected me. Two high school girls have a plan to travel abroad but they need a lot of money first so they start baiting men online into sleeping with them for sex. One girl is guiltily the pimp while the other is gleefully the prostitute. The morals are so totally blurred with every character and it’s addicting to watch how things unfold. I still don’t know what the movie is trying to express though, so watching it again and again always leaves me with a different impression.
