An acrylic painting on wood panel, titled 'Tokyo Eyes', of a couple whispering to each other with a yellow birdcage hanging overhead. One of them, a pantless young woman in a cow print jacket, is shooting a gun at the other, a young man in a blue jacket, but the sparks are angling away from him.

Tokyo Eyes

(1998, Jean-Pierre Limosin)

This is probably the movie I’ve seen the most and it’s still a pleasure to watch. Originally intended to be a French production shot in Paris, the director suddenly changed to a Japanese cast and crew, shooting in Tokyo instead. It becomes pretty surreal when characters then continue to reference French language and culture.
