『修羅雪姫』は、従来の浪人ではなく女性を主人公に据えた見事な復讐劇だ。低予算ながらも、熱量とスタイルがしっかりと感じられる。梶芽衣子が鋭い視線を送るだけで、背筋がぞくぞくする。もし『キル・ビル』を観たことがあるなら、ルーシー・リューとの戦闘シーンはほぼそのまま『修羅雪姫』へのオマージュと言ってもいいだろう。タランティーノ自身も、あの戦いはオリジナルに比べると物足りなかったと感じているに違いない。
