Waiting to finally see this movie has been some kind of underlying journey over my last two years and I was so happy to finally see it. Based on a true story/urban legend/whatever of a woman in Japan watching the movie Fargo and seeking out the buried stash of cash she thinks is real, this movie resonated with my own journey fleeing to China to escape poverty and consumerism of the US. There are light-hearted moments in the film but I pretty much cried the whole time as it’s easy to identify with RInko Kikuchi’s character and her performance always brings me to tears. You must experience this film!
