ある女の夫（浅野忠信）が突然（おそらく意図的に）亡くなり、途方に暮れた女は、間もなくお見合い結婚に応じることになる。これは喪失をテーマにした非常に力強い映画だ。最初の20分ほどは比較的シンプルで、彼女が幸せに日々を過ごす様子が描かれる。残りの時間では、まるでゾンビのように生き、亡き夫への思いを抑え込む生活が映し出される。後半が少し退屈に感じられたが、ラストですべてが腑に落ちた。たくさん泣いてしまった。胸に迫るものがあったのだ。
