アメリカで公開された韓国映画のなかでも、安っぽさを感じさせない作品の一つだ。登場人物それぞれの世界の奇妙さに引き込まれる、素晴らしい映画である。ある誘拐計画が失敗したことから、暴力の連鎖が始まる。『オールド・ボーイ』の前作的な位置づけとも言えるが、個人的にはこちらの方が断然面白い。アメリカでリメイクされるらしいが、それが失敗作になったとしても、この映画を見逃してはいけない。ちなみに、この映画で私はこれまで聞いたなかで最も官能的な性体験を知った。それは、セックス中の手話である。
